Michelle Barton-Marsh
Michelle Barton-Marsh is a mother, leader, strategic planner, and a critical thinker. She has been a member of the Cutting Edge Word Ministries International (CEWMI), Canada since June of 2014 after her God-ordained meeting with Pastor Martins of CEWMI in Feb of 2014 at the Habitat for Humanity, Brampton. Michelle professed her life to Christ in March of 2014 and has since been mentored by both Pastor Martins and his wife, Pastor Derin.
Michelle is very passionate about giving back to society and so it was befitting when she was appointed as the Outreach Director at CEWMI in June 2014. Through her philanthropic endeavours and the joys of volunteering, she has spearheaded several in reach and outreach initiatives involving the donations of food, clothing, personal care items and school supplies to several shelters in the diaspora. She also enjoys advising and coaching the youth, singles and newly married so that they can learn from her life mistakes and bad decisions. She lives by the cliché statement “if only I knew then what I know now” and strongly believes in being the best version of yourself everyday which should reflect in how you speak, think and act.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science Hons degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, a Postgraduate Certificate in Emergency Management and a Master in Disaster and Emergency Management (MDEM) from York University, Toronto.
She is a widow and the proud mother of a teenager daughter.
